Often called the champagne of Kona coffee, our 100% Kona Peaberry is a rare treat prized by connoisseurs. A peaberry is a natural anomaly in which the coffee cherry produces a single, rounder bean instead of the usual two, concentrating the flavor into a cup that's smoother and more refined. Because they make up less than 5% of any given harvest, these Kona peaberry coffee beans are genuinely scarce, and ours are micro-batch roasted on site shipped farm direct, whole bean for supreme freshness.
Expect elegant tasting notes of bittersweet chocolate, cream, prune, and caramel in the medium roast, deepening to toffee, cocoa, and sweet spice in the medium dark. This coffee has surpassed our expectations for the quality of the Peaberry bean’s flavor. It has been our first experience trying Kona Earth Peaberry coffee. We’ve been very happy with the “Classic” medium-dark Kona and were curious if the flavor of Peaberry would be worth the price. While it’s a bit difficult to afford the cost of enjoying it every day, if cost was not an issue, we would happily enjoy it all the time.
We understand that joining a recurring purchase plan might save us money, but we thoroughly enjoy the Classic for daily consumption and save the Peaberry for those special times that provide a better opportunity to enjoy the outstanding quality and flavor.
